| DRDC Suffield's Horizontal Explosive Pendulum performs a similar function to the large scale facility in that it measures the total load imparted to the target by the charge. This facility was developed and commissioned by Amtech Aeronautical and is located at DRDC Suffield's Mine Effects Site. The pendulum can be moved to different test locations to take advantage of special soil conditions or to facilitate a larger number of tests in a short period of time. |
